I bought a used remanufactured transmission...used for about a year that makes a violent thump when changing from 1st to 2nd gears. It does not do it (or milder) if i accelerate fast. Fluid and filter are fine. Any suggestions?

i have a 1996 e36 convertible. reverse slips badly, no problems with any forward gears. is this a common issue, any ideas?

The clutch chatters intermittently in first gear when the vehicle is first started. It's is worse when the vehicle is going up a hill.
