i have this 1983 mer 280se euro style 6 inline twine cams ,,it was working fine then ,,, few days ago start the car put in drive make a u-turn in my street then the engine rpm went high,,and thats all the transmission stoped,put in revers nothing,,put in d,2,3 nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!
the engine runs okay,,i check the trany fluids and are okay,, can some one tell me what steps i need to take ,,if is there any sensors that may need to be ajust,

Hi Chris, when this is right, what I understand ? You have No forward and No reverse ? Can you feel anything that the car try to move or creep forward ??
When you have nothing, no forward or reverse, then is most likely the front pump the failure. You can let someone check it out, it is simple to discover, just check the main pressure on the transmission
Hi, not many times we have a brocken driveshaft. This make a lot of noise before it comes to the pont of stoping complett. You should have notice this before, that you have a problem on your car
