2002 VW Jetta w/ 09A 5sp. Rebuilt transmission about a year ago came back w/ this new shifting concern; 3-4 engine flare then hard shift into 4th. Have had the unit out several times only to find no mechanical faults NO burnt clutches, bands all fine. 2 Remanufactured Valve Bodies, All New Solenoids from Transtar Industries, New Hi-Clutch Piston Upgrade, and the catch is no fault codes in TCM no Fault Codes in ECM. Lost Patience and bought another reman transmission and still having same EXACT problem. Took to dealer and had them program the TCM To Latest and greatest software calibration. The service writer at the dealer said this trans has no basic settings. Again Keep in mind no fault codes we are using snap-on solus w/ european software .
