CAN ANY ONE HELP? I HAVE A 91 MODEL 190E WITH 2.6L. THE TRANS WILL NOT SHIFT UP FROM TAKE OFF. REVERSE WORKS GREAT. AFTER YOU ARE MOVING AND YOU DROP IT FROM DRIVE TO LOW, IT WILL DOWN SHIFT BUT WHEN YOU RETURN IT TO DRIVE IT WILL NOT SHIFT BACK UP. COULD THIS BE A VACUM PROBLEM OR A GOVERNOR PROBLEM THE TRANNY DOES NOT SLIP AND THE FLUID IS NOT BURNED. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN CHECK WITH OUT PULLING MY TRANNY WOULD THE SHIFT DOWN CABLE HAVE AN EFFECT ON THIS LIKE ON A GM 700R4?
Hi, your problem on the transmission can be many reasons.
You can have a internal leak on K1 or K2 drum. Also your modulator box mission vacuum from the engine, broken line or so, You should start by adjusting the transmission correctly, shift cable and modulator box . Is this dun correctly and you still have a problem, you disconnect the shift cable from the exelaretar linkitsch and drive the car carefully. It should now shift up right away,-in case it still NOT up-shift,--you have a internal transmission problem.
