Hi, I have a 1999 c280 with 146000 miles on it, the transmission shifts fine but i am noticing a whirring noise when it's in park and in nuetral ( the sound increases with engine speed) the noise is gone when the car is placed in drive or reverse. The transmisson in my 1983 308SL slips when shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. After about 10 minutes of triving the slipping stops and the car shifts great. I have changed the fluid and filter and the modulator valve. But neither has helped

94 e320,flex disc broke.some how the shifter linkage was wrapped around yoke.the linkage was replaced,now the car creeps forward in park and wont go into reverse,is the tranny worth fixing
