The transmisson in my 1983 308SL slips when shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. After about 10 minutes of triving the slipping stops and the car shifts great. I have changed the fluid and filter and the modulator valve. But neither has helped

What is the difference between GAS and diesel 722.4 valve bodies ? If i want my 722.414 disel transmission to start off in 2nd gear, can i only move the "governor pressure boost valve" spring, from the back to the front of the valve

,, this is my little or big proablem i have: i have this 1983 mer 280se euro style 6 inline twine cams ,,it was working fine then ,,, few days ago start the car put in drive make a u-turn in my street then the engine rpm went high,,and thats all the transmission stoped,put in revers nothing,,put in d,2,3 not...

In a friend's 1986 300D, 124 with a 722.3. The transmission will not engage when cold. After it idles long enough to warm up it works but the shifts seem to be not as crisp as in my 1987 300D. Another Benz owner said this could be something called a B2 piston? Anyone care to share a pro's opinion?

My 300te 4matic has been acting up. It drops to 2nd gear after warming up while driving. Sometimes it revs as if in nuetral. By putting it into nuetral andn back into drive I get 3 and OD back but often not for long. I checked the vacuum line for leaks, the modulator for signs of fluid and even swapped the ki...
