I have an '02 BMW 330i with about 52k miles. Last week the check engine light came on. I plugged in a code reader and it displayed P0741 - Torque Converter clutch stuck OFF. I reset the code and after two drive cycles the light is back on.
My book lists an A5S325 Z trans application but I'm not sure if its ZF or GM. Do you guys have any experience with this particular fault code or the remedy?
Hi, you have a GM 5L40E transmission in your car. This is a little sensitive transmission with all kind of problems, like valvebody or internal and also converter issues. Also many software updates are available for this version of transmission.
