Hello, I recently bought a 1985 mercedec benz turbo diesel 300 CD. After driving it for a wile, it wouldnt shift into 2nd gear and yet it will shift into reverse, low and drive. Its not the transmission oil  and I havent looked at the filter yet. Any help would be very very helpful before I talk it to the shop. Thanks!

Well fixed the problem, it ended up being the kick down switch that was causing the problem.
