The transmission folks say it needs new transmission. I let my son buy this car on ebay and now don't know what to do. So far I have checked salvage yards for used trasmissions but cannot live with 30 day parts warranty. Does it make sense to buy a rebuilt transmission? What are the risks? What are other people's experience and advice. I live in Iowa and closest BMW Dealer is 35 miles.
