Recently I got a noise from my transfer case (box) on my BMW X5 2001 3.0L Automatic. I am thinking on rebuild it. First I am planing to open it and inspect what exactly cause this noise. Where I can get the rebuild kit + most probably bearings and/or chain for my transfer case. Model of my case is NV125. I tried to search online at many places but no luck so far :( I would apriciate any help. Thank you for your suggestions and sorry for my english (French Canadien)
Hi, the transfer cases for the X5 have always the same problem, a loud noise at the time of acceleration! But we are NOT remanufacturing the transfer cases, parts should be available at the BorgWarner company.
