P0740 code set and keeps setting. Torque converter lockup issue. If on highway under very little load, the torque converter locks up but releases with a slight bump when a slight incline in the road is present. Essentially under load, the TC lockup disengages. I've replaced EDS4 solenoid with no change.
This happened (perhaps by coincidence) 1 week after a fluid and filter change. (not a flush) Used ZF filter (same part number as original and refilled to proper level with ESSO LT71141. (filled, level, engine running, oil temp at 45-50C.) All 5 forward gears and reverse work fine. Nothing unusual.
Is it the torque converter likely at fault? Perhaps the sealing rings issue? Is is safe to continue to drive in this condition when the converter rarely locks up ans may be slipping? I do not want to create further damage.
