Ok I'll try to make a long story short here. I did a wack of upgrades, big turbo, intake, fuel rail, FMIC blah blah blah anyways. Wideband conversion and got an ecu from a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro Auto with the ecu model number 4B0 906 018 CH.
Now all the tuners I talked to assured me this ecu would work for my car with a few coding issues that it would have to be sent in for, Immo delete and such. Engine starts great, sounds awesome but the transmission will not shift gears. I can go in reverse and drive, but it shift's to hard 4th IE Trans limp mode. I'm getting error code P1841 when I scan my auto trans module in VCDS. I also checked all the coding between my old ecu and the upgraded one and it is all the same except for the engine code being changed due to having a wideband ecu now.. I'm wondering if it's caused by the engine code digit Via Can on block 013 in the trans module. Stock ecu number is 22 and the tuned ecu is 34. Also the Can data version on stock ecu is 3 and on he tuned ecu it is 10. As it sits I have a $17,000 boat anchor with an engine that sounds awesome lol Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Below are scans from VCDS with both the original and new ECU
